To promote Childrenās Mental Health Week all crews in Year 3 played a couple of games of āLetās Connect Bingoā. It was lovely to see children connecting with each other, finding others with shared interests, building new friendships and most importantly having fun! And yes – Mrs Gill loves pepperoni pizza!

Super team work and communication this afternoon from year 3 who completed these wonderfully colourful collages representing the different parts of plants.
A New Year – A New Expedition
What a cracking day we have had being immersed whole heartedly into our new and exciting expedition – The Power of Life. We spent the morning hunting electrical appliances around school, thinking about the many different devices we have and use at home and ways to reduce usage. The children were also awesome at identifying renewable and non-renewable sources of energy and created wonderful anchor charts persuading people to be more sustainable! Top job guys!
Decoupage Christmas Decorations
This week saw us making our very own Christmas decorations courtesy of XP Outdoors. All children engaged in this festive task and created a dƩcoupage wooden cookie slice by cutting characters from napkins and using sealer to create the finished look. How amazing do they look!

Check out the wonderful Christmas crafts Year 3 made during our community event with parents and family members. We made amazing hanging wreath decorations and Christmas cards! Thank you so much to everyone who attended and help kick of the festive season!

Sensational Subtraction
Over the past few weeks, year 3 have immersed themselves in all things subtraction. We are now experts at using the number line to correctly take away and today we worked together to answer a range of different problems, supporting our peers where necessary. This is the true definition if crew! Well done 3HJ 😊
3LG have an expert visitor
Today 3LG have been extremely excited to welcome an expert visitor into school. We talked all about the Second World War and the children asked lots incredible questions.
As part of our work towards creating our final product we have been thinking about why it is important to share stories from World War Two. We cannot wait to start writing about all the information we have learned today!
Happy Halloween!
Y3 have had a spooky start back to school today. Everybody dazzled in their amazing halloween costumes. We had everything from pumpkins to witches and skeletons to werewolves.
After sharing our exciting half term stories in crew, we spent the day completing a number of halloween themed tasks such as making our own halloween characters, designing pumpkins and using our maths knowledge to solve a mystery.
