5EG have been incredibly busy this week! They’ve written incredible detailed recounts of Harry Potter’s trip to Hogwarts, and learnt about the history of trains, by creating a timeline of images. They’ve also began to draw a pencil sketch of Hogwarts, which look amazing so far! I can’t wait to see the finished product! Well done 5EG!
3HJ couldn’t believe their ears when they were given permission to use the tables as jotters this week! You can see the excitement on their faces. Here we are showing our understanding of less than, more than and equal to. A fantastic maths lessons which resulted in wonderful outcomes! I also had plenty of volunteers to clean up too!
This week, our children became scientists for the afternoon and were tasked with the challenge of “cleaning” their dirty water sample. Through sharing ideas, and using a trial and error approach, the pupils constructed their own filtering systems with some real success!

4TE ended a fantastic week by getting very creative in maths! Everyone was able to demonstrate their mathematical knowledge and workings out on their tables. The only problem we struggled with, was who was going to clean it all up!
Last week saw the launch of our new and exciting dance program ‘Chance To Dance’. Year 3 visited Cast in Doncaster to watch an exceptional performance from the Royal Ballet! Our focus is Alice In Wonderland and we have been working hard to create motifs for the main characters – Alice, The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter and The Queen of Hearts. Children have thought carefully how to portray their characters through movements and facial expressions which we then put to music!
