This week 5EG have been making the most of the beautiful weather by taking most of our lessons outside! Luckily we have plenty of shady spaces available, and the children could enjoy being outside.

Happy Friday – here’s a selection of beautiful work from across the XP Trust this week!

Yesterday we had a blast in 3LG as we spent the afternoon testing a range of different sweets. As we go into case study 3, where we will be making our very own sweets, it would have been rude to not do any product testing. We tried everything from flying saucers to strawberry laces and marshmallows to Haribos, discussing what we liked about their appearance taste and texture.

Alas, I present to you the winning rounder’s team from last week’s festival at CTC. Special mention is also reserved for the other Norton representatives who finished a credible joint third. Once again, the pupils attitudes were fantastic. Very well done…

The time is almost upon us when Year 4 shall be testing their times tables knowledge. In order to ensure we are fully prepared for this test, 4TE have been immersing themselves into TTRockstars. You can just hear the concentration! Keep practising guys!
We always look to end our weeks with a bang and what better way to conclude our week than by combining to very interesting, unrelated concepts: the circulatory system and pop artwork!
In the morning, 6CC took part in an outdoor treasure hunt to scour the school grounds for their name, function and location in the body. The children enjoyed their search in the sun before returning to class to recap their understanding of the circulatory system and its main components.
With a more artistic focus, the children then explore the works of Andy Warhol and pop artwork. The bright, contrasting colours captivated many and all were inspired to choose their favourite piece of the circulatory system and to ‘pop artify’ it!
Circulatory system pop artwork will be on show here soon!

‘Without our stories we don’t exist – if we don’t share them nobody will…’
At XP, we share our stories every single day – here’s why it’s so important to do this. #ShareYourStory
The sun is shining so what better choice of activity for flexible Friday than playing on the jungle trail after working so hard this past week! 3HJ have decided to have a ‘show and tell’ session next week too!

Today marks the first day of June. Why is this noteworthy? Well last month, a certain member of 4TE showed extreme dedication and effort to play TimesTablesRockstars every single day last month during May! This mighty achievement was achieved by Jack Jepson and he deserves a huge shout out here! So fantastic effort Jack on completing that challenge! Jack is brilliant at his times tables and commitment such as this is proof as to why he’s learnt his tables so well, great work Jack!
