Dear World…!

What an exciting day it has been today in preparation for another exciting day next week! Next week years 3 and 4 will be travelling off to a professional recording studio to lay down our track! Alongside other schools in the trust, we have been writing a song about looking after our planet, and here is how it is going so far!

An Unexpected Journey 🗡🗻

The works of J.R.Tolkien to were brought to life today with the children of 4TE and 6CC engaging in a variety of activities linked to ‘The Hobbit’.

From rune message decoding to creating art based on the setting and characters from the novels, all enjoyed learning about the different aspects of the story, as well as listening to the audio book and using clips from the films for stimuli. One of the most popular activities of the day was to create your own archaic map for your own adventure story. Beautiful work!

World Book Day: welcoming back a former year group for the morning…

And what amazing work the pupils did whilst back on their old stomping ground of year 4. It was quite wonderful to see the maturity levels of the pupils and how they have grown since leaving their year 4 classrooms. We had a thoroughly fantastic morning and look at these awesome outcomes based on the Artwork of Quentin Blake.

World Book Day fun!

What a great World Book Day! It was so nice to hear every child tell the class about their favourite book and why, and showcase their amazing costumes. So good to see everyone embracing their love of reading!

Happy World Book Day

Happy World Book Day from 3LG. Our crew is full of bookworms and so we have been looking forward to World Book Day all week. We had a range of fabulous costumes and all the children looked amazing!
