Pop art circulatory system!

We always look to end our weeks with a bang and what better way to conclude our week than by combining to very interesting, unrelated concepts: the circulatory system and pop artwork!

In the morning, 6CC took part in an outdoor treasure hunt to scour the school grounds for their name, function and location in the body. The children enjoyed their search in the sun before returning to class to recap their understanding of the circulatory system and its main components.

With a more artistic focus, the children then explore the works of Andy Warhol and pop artwork. The bright, contrasting colours captivated many and all were inspired to choose their favourite piece of the circulatory system and to ‘pop artify’ it!

Circulatory system pop artwork will be on show here soon!

Happy Half Term

A big Year 3 thank you goes out today to the 5 members of Year 6 that have been our helpers this week. From being classroom TAs to playing dodgeball, we have absolutely loved having them in our classes. The children have loved having them in class and they were amazing models to the younger children.

Today they teamed up with a few year 3 children to create a fabulous pairing to celebrate the Platinum’ Jubilee

A Royal Celebration

To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee 3LG have been working really hard to learn March of the Golden Guards on the recorder. 3LG have worked really hard since February half term in their weekly recorder lesson, learning lots of new notes, discovering how to read music, practicing different songs and finding out about rhythm and beat.

3LG fieldwork at Brodsworth Hall

Last week 3LG went on our fieldwork to Brodsworth Hall. We spent the day exploring the gardens, following the statue trail and viewing the house. The children asked lots of amazing questions about Brodsworth Hall and Peter Thellusson and as a result found out lots of exciting facts.

3LG were a credit to the school and numerous members of the public approached myself and Mrs Gracey to tell us how well behaved and polite the children were. They were a great representation of our school and all did themselves proud.

2022 Chance to Dance Champions

A massive well done to everybody that took part in the Y3 Chance to Dance Easter School. The performance you put on was absolutely amazing.

We are so happy and excited to announce that the winners have been selected and will be starting their tuition at Hazelbiz Performers Academy in September. Well done girls, we can’t wait to see how you get on as your dance journey continues.
