Evacuee Experience

Yesterday, year 3 spent the day in role as evacuated children during The Blitz. We made gas mask boxes, name labels and jam sandwiches ready for our long journey to Norton Community Hall where children we selected for their new homes. A huge thank you to Mr Parkhouse, who organised extra special visitors and army vehicles including a whole array of WW2 weapons. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day with so much learning taking place. What an experience!

Lunches – Wednesday 21st September

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our school kitchen will not be open tomorrow ( Wednesday 21st September 2022 ).
All children will need to bring a packed lunch with them. If you have free school meals, we will be able to provide a packed lunch.
We are sorry for this inconvenience, but it is unavoidable. We hope the kitchen will be open as normal on Thursday, this will be confirmed tomorrow.
Thank you for your understanding
Norton Infant and Junior School.

Collaborative maths!

6EG have been working hard on improving their math skills, and this morning they used their knowledge to play a crazy game of snakes and ladders in which they had to round numbers to move forward.

As plane as day…

…is the amount of awesome work that our pupils have done this last week. Here is just a selection of superb models of WW2 aircraft skillfully crafted using just lollipop sticks and glue. They now hang proudly on our y3/4 corridor ready to engage in a dog fight with enemy aircraft . Here, we remember the words of Churchill when referring to the exploits of the RAF during the battle of Britain: Never has so much, been owed by so many to so few.
