The Power of Life celebration event

What an amazing afternoon we had at our Celebration of Learning event showcasing our fabulous learning of our expedition The Power Of Life: What Fuels Us? The children were immensely proud of the work they produced throughout this spring term and thoroughly enjoyed sharing it with parents and carers through our presentation, circuit activities and singing. Huge thinks to all those who attended.

Campsmount Come Dancing 💫💫

I couldn’t have been prouder of the children in Yr 4, 5 & 6 who represented Norton Junior School in the Campsmount Come Dancing show. The theme for the show was different genres of dance and our girls danced jazz. Check out the amazing tricks and lifts. Huge thanks to Mrs Gracey who sorted all the costumes.

Children’s Mental Health Week

To promote Children’s Mental Health Week all crews in Year 3 played a couple of games of ’Let’s Connect Bingo’. It was lovely to see children connecting with each other, finding others with shared interests, building new friendships and most importantly having fun! And yes – Mrs Gill loves pepperoni pizza!

Visitors from The Royal Ballett

This week saw the end of our weekly ballet lessons with a visit from dancers from The Royal Ballet. The children took part in a selection workshop demonstrating different types of ballet. Both visitors and school staff were extremely proud of the behaviour and effort from all children. We will find out soon which children have been selected and who will carry on with their ballet journey. Huge well done guys!

Christmas fun

3HJ have had a wonderful few days enjoying all things festive starting with watching the wonderful pantomime Cinderella and having our Christmas party. We spent our last day together playing crew against crew bingo and Kahoot quizzes. All the year 3 team would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Children In Need

Our ’Flexible Friday’ crew session this week saw us completing a range of Pudsey Bear themed activities to raise awareness for Children In Need. Children were invited to come to school in non-uniform and donations were collected. It was a great effort across school with money raised for a very worthy cause!

NJS Remembers

On Remembrance Day, LKS2 spent the day making some these beautiful remembrance day cards which included a watercolour poppy and an acrostic poem. These works of art were taken to Campsall Church and given to members of the community who attended the Remembrance service.
