Due to unforeseen circumstances, our school kitchen will not be open tomorrow ( Wednesday 21st September 2022 ).
All children will need to bring a packed lunch with them. If you have free school meals, we will be able to provide a packed lunch.
We are sorry for this inconvenience, but it is unavoidable. We hope the kitchen will be open as normal on Thursday, this will be confirmed tomorrow.

Royal Ballet Workshop

On Friday afternoon, 5RS participated in a dance workshop led by two members of the Royal Ballet. The children worked extremely hard, under expert guidance, to refine their Alice in Wonderland dance sequence, which they are going to perform outside the Cast Theatre a week on Saturday!

Collaborative maths!
6EG have been working hard on improving their math skills, and this morning they used their knowledge to play a crazy game of snakes and ladders in which they had to round numbers to move forward.

Finding numbers on a number line

Today, year 3 spent time estimating where numbers would go on a number line to 100. An added bonus was that we drew all over the tables. Children used their reasoning skills to locate numbers and the use of mathematical vocabulary was amazing. Well done 3HJ!
Maths Masters!

Today, 4TE have been demonstrated their mathematics prowess with some cool number comparisons, awesome arithmetic and super Sumdog! Keep it up guys! We will be maths super stars in no time!
Striking Silhouettes
During immersion week, Year 3 began their expedition learning all about World War Two. Check out our beautiful artwork creating a silhouette of the London skyline during the Blitz. Here we used water colours to paint the background and drew the skyline on black paper! How effective do they look?

As plane as day…
…is the amount of awesome work that our pupils have done this last week. Here is just a selection of superb models of WW2 aircraft skillfully crafted using just lollipop sticks and glue. They now hang proudly on our y3/4 corridor ready to engage in a dog fight with enemy aircraft . Here, we remember the words of Churchill when referring to the exploits of the RAF during the battle of Britain: Never has so much, been owed by so many to so few.

Writing on tables?
This week Y3 have been learning all about place value in maths. We have been learning all about hundreds, tens and ones and it would only have been fair to kick this topic off by writing all over the tables.
