During yesterday’s crew session, year 3 had a lovely time eating delicious pancakes. It was a tough choice between Nutella, golden syrup, strawberry syrup or lemon with a sprinkle of sugar. Which topping is your favourite?

Happy pancake day from Y3! Yesterday for crew we had a lovely morning eating pancakes. With a choice of either nutella, golden sugar, strawberry syrup and the classic lemon and sugar we were spoilt for choice.
A big thank you to Mrs Jenkins who spent her Monday night making 70 crepes!!
Last Friday, our school took part in a pyjama day to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity. We all loved rolling straight out of bed and heading into school. We designed our own onesies too!
To promote Children’s Mental Health Week all crews in Year 3 played a couple of games of ’Let’s Connect Bingo’. It was lovely to see children connecting with each other, finding others with shared interests, building new friendships and most importantly having fun! And yes – Mrs Gill loves pepperoni pizza!
Last week myself and Miss Gate had the absolute please of taking these wonder children to the Utilita Arena in Sheffield for this years Young Voices concert. Each and every child sang from their heart and were exceptionally well behaved. It was such a fantastic night and all staff couldn’t have been prouder!
This half term during our Wise Wednesday crew sessions, Year 3 have been focussing on Mental Wellbeing. The children have spent time discussing different emotions, how we can understand them and how they can effect our behaviour. These beautiful mindfulness colouring sheets brought calm into our classroom this morning and were coloured in beautifully. We cant wait to get them displayed around school.
Check out the amazing range of balances created by 3HJ in their first gymnastics lesson this week. The core strength and skill demonstrated by the children absolute blew me away! Awesome work guys!!
This week saw the end of our weekly ballet lessons with a visit from dancers from The Royal Ballet. The children took part in a selection workshop demonstrating different types of ballet. Both visitors and school staff were extremely proud of the behaviour and effort from all children. We will find out soon which children have been selected and who will carry on with their ballet journey. Huge well done guys!
Super team work and communication this afternoon from year 3 who completed these wonderfully colourful collages representing the different parts of plants.
What a cracking day we have had being immersed whole heartedly into our new and exciting expedition – The Power of Life. We spent the morning hunting electrical appliances around school, thinking about the many different devices we have and use at home and ways to reduce usage. The children were also awesome at identifying renewable and non-renewable sources of energy and created wonderful anchor charts persuading people to be more sustainable! Top job guys!
