Tasty mini beast sandwich

This week, the children have written a set of instructions on how to make a revolting mini beast sandwich. Mr Wilkinson felt a bit peckish during literacy and decided to make a mini beast sandwich. It contained a variety of ingredients such as jam, cheese, grapes, locust and meal worms. Yummy indeed!

After Mr Wilkinson finished his sandwich, the children wrote a set of instructions on how to make one with pleasing results.

Fantastic work 3MW!

Tasty!

That’s not fair!

The emotional turmoil caused by Fruitella in 5RH was unbelievable.

The children were given a small insight into wealth inequality using sweets. The words ‘That’s not fair.’ were uttered on a number of occasions and then we explored the impact that these social inequalities could have on the life chances of people within our society.

Luckily, the children decided that equality was essential for the crew to remain harmonious and they decided to redistribute the sweets more fairly so that they were all able to enjoy a Fruitella at break time.

A truly selfless act 5RH, caring about everyone within our society (crew).

Forest School Fun!

The Year 6 pupils commenced a 10 week Forest School programme on Tuesday this week and they loved it! The children learnt how to chop wood, they built a swing and climbed trees. They are learning to develop their problem solving skills and confidence in themselves.

A huge thank you to our fabulous TA, Mrs Blunt, for organising this amazing opportunity for our pupils.
