What a wonderful day we had celebrating the coronation of King Charles lll despite the change in weather. During in crew, we designed royal book marks and played bottle flipping. The aim was to see how many times we could the bottle in 30 seconds. Well done to Henry who was the winner with 3!
That’s right. Piper takes the crown (pardon the pun) of becoming the blindfolded pinning princess (and again) by being this afternoon’s winner of ‘pin the jewel on Charles’ Crown’ competition. This was a game intended for our community Coronation event which was sadly rained off only for the weather to be cracking the flags come 2pm 🤦. Anyhow, enjoy your long weekend everyone and again, well done to Piper.
The children have enjoyed a special Coronation lunch prepared by our lovely kitchen staff.
Yesterday, year 3 erupted the wonderful volcanoes that were made in hook week. To make the volcanoes we screwed up newspaper to build the shape and then used papier mache to cover it with layers of newspaper and paper towels. Finally, we pained the and Miss Gate used vinegar and baking powder to create the eruption! What a brilliant afternoon!

To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, year 3 had a very special recorder lesson this morning. We all gathered together in the hall to learn a number of royal coronation themed music and learn all about how music is used within the royal palaces.
