Last week, our fieldwork took us on an exciting walk from school into Askern. First stop was to look at how the land where Askern Main Colliery was situated is now being used, then onto Askern Lake to look and the mining wheel monument and old coal carts and finally a picnic and play in Campsall Park. The weather was extremely kind to us and we had a fabulous day!
