During immersion week, Year 3 began their expedition learning all about World War Two. Check out our beautiful artwork creating a silhouette of the London skyline during the Blitz. Here we used water colours to paint the background and drew the skyline on black paper! How effective do they look?

…is the amount of awesome work that our pupils have done this last week. Here is just a selection of superb models of WW2 aircraft skillfully crafted using just lollipop sticks and glue. They now hang proudly on our y3/4 corridor ready to engage in a dog fight with enemy aircraft . Here, we remember the words of Churchill when referring to the exploits of the RAF during the battle of Britain: Never has so much, been owed by so many to so few.

This week Y3 have been learning all about place value in maths. We have been learning all about hundreds, tens and ones and it would only have been fair to kick this topic off by writing all over the tables.

There is the opportunity of a lifetime to teach in our extraordinary schools, Green Top and Norton Junior School.Â

You can apply here and #JoinOurCrew!
The official date of the State Funeral is 19 September 2022. This day will be a bank holiday and settings that are normally closed on a bank holiday should close on this day as a mark of respect. Therefore Norton Junior School will be closed to staff and children on that day.
Thank you

Here’s a selection of beautiful work from across the XP Trust this week!

This week year three have started their expedition learning all about World War Two. Y3 have produced beautiful artwork of a skyline during the Blitz, watched Bedknobs and Broomsticks, learned all about how World War Two started and created aiplanes out of lollipop sticks. It is fair to say we are now fully immersed in our autumn expedition and can’t wait to find out more next week!
