Why should Doncaster remember the Romans? 12th November 2021Helen Jenkins Yesterday, our Year 3 children embarked on a trip around Doncaster town centre, looking for clues to help answer our guiding question of “Why should Doncaster remember the Romans?” We had a thoroughly exciting day, which kicked off by catching the local bus into the town centre, finding the “Frenchgate’ and Baxtergate” as well as exploring the site of the Roman Fort in the grounds of Doncaster Minister. All our children were a credit to Norton Junior School and many members of the public commented on how sensibly they behaved on their journey into town and back. Absolute superstars!!
