Making History Together: Y4 Presentation of Learning
Our recent Presentation of Learning was a spectacular success, buzzing with creativity and collaboration! It was wonderful to welcome families into the classroom to dive deeper into our Roman history topic. Inspired by the intricate floor designs of ancient Roman villas, students and their loved ones worked side-by-side to create their own stunning, colourful mosaics.
Using vibrant tiles, our young artists explored patterns, symmetry, and craftsmanship, bringing history to life with every piece they placed. The concentration and teamwork in the room were palpable as parents and children shared ideas, discussed designs, and glued down their tesserae.
Beyond just an art project, this session was a celebration of shared learning. It allowed our students to share their work from this current expedition. Needless to say, the finished tiles are vibrant and unique —a perfect lasting memento of a fantastic community event. Thank you to everyone who joined us to get creative!
